WMS implementation: we sit on your side of the table

Our role in a WMS implementation

We do not implement Boltrics, Corax or other WMS systems ourselves. That is the vendor’s role, and that is what your organisation pays them for.

What we do is stand next to you during that project. We translate your processes into requirements the vendor can build. We test whether what is delivered matches what was agreed. We train your people so they not only operate the system, but understand it. And we secure knowledge so you do not have to call the implementation partner for every small change.

Why an extra pair of hands on your side of the table

Representing your interest. The vendor delivers the project. We make sure the system fits your people and processes, not the other way around.

Translator between warehouse floor and consultant. No surprises at go-live because an operator meant something the consultant never heard.

Vendor hours are expensive. Our hours replace them where possible. Drafting requirements, testing, training: we do that more cheaply and at your pace.

The knowledge stays. After go-live the vendor leaves. We remain available, and your team is trained by us to understand the system, not just operate it.

Independent second opinion. “This is not possible in the standard” is something we can test without political conflict.

What we actually do during a project

Process design and requirements. We translate your operation into concrete requirements the vendor can build. No abstract user stories, but warehouse-floor reality.

Joining the build phase. We sit in on the vendor’s build sessions and make sure the choices made along the way keep matching your interest.

Testing that looks like reality. We test with real data, real volumes and real exceptions, not with the happy path from the demo.

Training that sticks. Operators who understand the system use it well. Operators who got a short demo find workarounds that are not in the manual.

Post go-live support. The first months after launch are critical. We stay your point of contact without billing per hour for every question.

Platforms we work with

We guide projects in Corax and Boltrics among others. For platform depth, strengths and typical project shapes, see the platform pages.

We also work alongside other WMS systems. Our role stays the same: your interest, your pace, your people.

Typical phases in a WMS implementation

Scope and planning. What needs to be live per phase, what can wait, and what drops off.

Process design and requirements. We map processes and translate them into requirements. Often in parallel with the vendor’s first build sprints.

Build, configuration and data mapping. The vendor builds. We test, ask questions and adjust.

Testing. Functional, integration, performance. With real data and real exceptions.

Training and go-live preparation. Per role, not as an afterthought but as a full project component.

Go-live and aftercare. Present when things go wrong, ready to act fast, and finishing knowledge transfer.

FAQ

Does your role replace the implementation partner? No. We sit on a different side of the table. The vendor builds the system, we make sure the build matches your operation.

Doesn’t this double the cost? In practice, no. Well-prepared requirements and clear test frameworks shorten vendor projects. Our hours often replace vendor hours on the softer pieces: requirements, training, change management.

Do you only work in Corax and Boltrics? No. Those are the platforms where we have the most experience, but our role (client side representation) is platform-independent.

How long does a WMS implementation take? It depends heavily on scope, number of clients and integrations. From a few months to more than a year. We give an estimate after a first conversation.

What does it cost? Our rate is €110 per hour. For longer projects, a tailored price after a first conversation.

How we work

We do not start with software. We start on the warehouse floor. Only when we understand how the work actually flows today, do we join the vendor at the table.
