How we run WMS projects

Five steps, transparent rate, honest advice. Sometimes the best advice is: don't do it.

Our steps

  1. 1.

    Intro call

We start with a free 30 to 60 minute intro call. Not a sales pitch. We want to understand where you stand, what you expect and whether there is a real match. You ask questions, we ask questions. If we think we are not the right party, we say so. That saves both of us time.

  2. 2.

    Mapping the process

One to two weeks on the warehouse floor. We interview operators, team leaders and directors. Not based on what manuals say, but on what really happens. The output is swim-lane diagrams that show reality, including the exceptions and workarounds everyone knows but nobody writes down. The result is a bottleneck report: concrete, readable, usable as a starting point for every decision after. More on this method: process mapping.

  3. 3.

Tech choice or no tech choice

Based on the process we recommend a direction. That can be: a new WMS, Corax or Boltrics, depending on your context, client mix and IT landscape. It can also be: optimisation of an existing system. And it can be: no software project right now. Sometimes the advice is "solve your process bottlenecks first before you invest in technology". That is not easy advice to give. But it is the honest one. We don't sell a WMS to a business that is not ready for it. That helps no one.

  4. 4.

    Implementation or optimisation

If the choice is a new WMS, we guide the implementation of Corax or Boltrics, from configuration and data migration to user training and go-live. We are not tied exclusively to one vendor: we choose what fits your organisation. If the choice is optimisation of an existing system, we focus on the bottlenecks that pay back the most. Lead time: three to six months for a full implementation, four to eight weeks for targeted optimisation.

  5. 5.

    Aftercare

The first four to twelve weeks after go-live we stay available. Resolving issues, fine-tuning processes, helping users when practice differs from the training. After that, ongoing support is hourly and optional: no mandatory contract, just a practical choice if it fits.

How we sound

We are practical and honest. We speak the same language with a forklift driver as with a logistics director, without softening the message to keep someone happy. That sometimes means putting uncomfortable findings on the table, and sometimes saying that a WMS project is not the right step right now. We do not recommend a WMS project that is not going to help. That is not only ethical. It is also practical: a failed project costs everyone more than an honest 'no'. Our rate is transparent and listed on this page. No sales funnel with three steps and a quote that takes two weeks. If you have something concrete to discuss, emailing or calling directly works faster than any form.

Rate

110 /hour

Transparent hourly rate for consulting, audits and shorter optimisation engagements. Longer implementations: fixed project price after a first call. No sales process with three steps. Emailing or calling directly works faster.
